Our Founder
Yes She Can Inc. was founded in 2013 by Marjorie Madfis, mother of Izzie, a then-teen girl with autism and a passion for American Girl dolls and accessories. Marjorie created a first-of-its-kind incubator that incorporated training techniques to meet the needs of both conventional employers and autism employment entrepreneurs who hire people on the autism spectrum.
Ten years later, Yes She Can has expanded, tripling in size, enabling more individuals to benefit from our program. After outgrowing our previous location, we relocated to the heart of White Plains, N.Y., to a more accessible space that accommodates a larger number of participants and offers opportunities to develop exciting new programs, such as our Mentorship Program and the soon-to-be-launched Our Social Community. This community will provide individuals with a safe space for much-needed socialization.
Celebrating 10 Years
On March 21, 2024, Yes She Can celebrated its 10th anniversary at The Mansion on Broadway in White Plains, New York. The event was very successful, with speakers expressing their excitement about Yes She Can’s future. Honoree Valerie Tripp said, “We want to find, nourish, celebrate, and use our truest self, the self you are when you’re all by yourself, your heart and soul.”
Yes She Can empower countless individuals to achieve their goals and spark the creation of new organizations with shared visions.
