Join Yes She Can Cycling Team for fun and fundraising with Bike to the Beach

July 20, 2020 by Marjorie Madfis Leave a Comment

I’m Allan Friedman, a businessman, a cyclist, and a supporter of Yes She Can.

We continue to participate  in Bike To the Beach rides all over the east coast to raise funds for autism organizations like Yes She Can.

Here I am at the Florida ride this winter.

After the B2B founders, Ben Dalley and Robby Walsh came to GirBike to Beach teaml AGain to meet with me and see Yes She Can’s job skills program, they became great supporters.

To enable fundraising to continue, B2B has developed pandemic-sensitive versions of their annual regional rides in line with the phase of re-opening where each ride is held.  I am an avid cyclist and very comfortable with their plans.  It remains an honor and a pleasure to captain a cycling team to raise funds for Yes She Can with B2B who remains a major donor to the organization.

Please join our team for any of the following rides.

  • Washington DC – Delaware: July 31st
  • Boston- Newport : September 5th
  • New York City- Westhampton: September 26th.

In each of those locations, you can ride 25, 50, 75, 100 miles OR NOW, even virtually.  And you can be part of our finish-line photos like the team in Florida.

These rides truly are the best supported Centuries going… mostly flat with well-stocked rest stops every 15-20 miles to 60 and then every 10-15 miles after that. Multiple “SAG” cars follow the ride and help fix mechanicals that inevitably develop along the way for typically a very small number of riders.
A truly high quality experience with very well designed routes. And a free jersey included with your registration and a tee shirt when you arrive at the finish line. Lots of little extras too.

As an experienced cycling trip leader, I also sometimes add on a day or two of sightseeing in the local area that turns it into a full weekend of riding for those inclined.

We’d love to have you with us riding for Yes She Can!
