Volunteers Perform Intervention: Repair dolls for Girl AGain

November 11, 2019 by Marjorie Madfis Leave a Comment

On Sunday November 10,  15 volunteers came to Girl AGain to repair donated dolls.  We tightened limbs and cleaned 40 dolls.  Very productive! Now our trainees can dress the dolls, price them, add them to the inventory management system, and display them, all in time for our holiday sales season.  Yes, Bloody Marys and Bagels were served, as usual!

Many thanks to Volunteer NY for connecting volunteers to service opportunities in Westchester.

Some volunteers like using Magic Eraser for cleaning stubborn stains on dolls.

Theresa, a volunteer job coach at our program, shows off a perfect Kaya.

Amanda and Jeanne are work colleagues in health care. They were checking on the internal organs of dolls, and found the stuffing to be intact. But the legs needed surgery.
