Welcome Claudia Castaneda to Yes She Can

April 5, 2021 by Marjorie Madfis Leave a Comment

We are excited to introduce you to Claudia Castaneda, our new Director of Marketing and Retail Operations.  In this new position, Claudia will be developing strategies and implementing marketing plans to grow Girl AGain boutique, a major source of revenue for Yes She Can’s job skills program, and to expand our connections in the community and beyond in support of our mission.

Meet Claudia

Claudia CastanedaBorn and raised in Bogota, Colombia, right after I finished my BA in Communications and Journalism, I took the courageous decision to move to Mexico to seek better opportunities.

That is when my life adventure began! During my stay in Mexico, I continued with my professional growth, working for an internet company during the “dot-com bubble” and later on for Hewlett-Packard.  I got married to a Colombian who was also working in Mexico.

After almost 6 years, we moved to Toronto, Canada, where we had our two boys, Tomas and Sebastian. After another 6 years, we moved to the US, and White Plains was the place we had the fortune to settle in.

My family and I have been in White Plains for the past 10 years and we couldn’t be happier! My teenage boys are currently attending Our Lady of Sorrows School, where I actively participate as a volunteer and a member of the Parents Association Board.

Now, I am thrilled to join Yes She Can as Director of Marketing and Retail Operations, where I am more than excited to work for this amazing cause that is to help teen girls and young women with autism spectrum disorders develop transferable job skills and achieve their independence.

I feel honored to bring my experience, marketing expertise, motivation, and commitment to the Yes She Can mission. I am sure I will learn a lot from the trainees, coaches, Girl AGain associates, and volunteers.

In my all-boy-related world, I can’t wait to be part of the American Girl experience!

I am a dog lover, fitness enthusiast, proud mom, and wife!

I will be at Girl AGain boutique every Thursday. Stop by to say hello.  You can also reach me at Claudia@YesSheCanInc.org
