I vaguely remember the time when I used to play with my dolls and how special this was for me.
When I became a mother of two boys, those memories became even more distant, until now when I started working at Yes She Can.
I have realized that all the people who approach us to donate their beloved dolls for so many different reasons, are also hoping that those possessions that once were really meaningful to them, could help create memories and amazing experiences someplace else.
And often times, what our valuable donors are doing is much more than that. With each doll, each piece of furniture, each outfit that is being donated to us, they are creating opportunities for a better future.
Each of our trainees are neuro-diverse women which, thanks to all our donors, have the opportunity to learn and reinforce different job skills that are key for their professional and personal development.
My heart fills with joy every time we get letters like this one, and I appreciate even more the possibility of being part of this beautiful mission that is to help others, one doll at a time!
