Girls and women with Autism often have a longer road to diagnosis (if they get diagnosed). Girls, who are typically more socially motivated than boys (who are more easily diagnosed), mask their disability better, which is a recipe for disappointment and isolation, which can cause problems with mental health. In addition, many of these women are already predisposed to mental health problems.
At Yes She Can, Inc., we recognize how hard these women try. We recognize how stressful their lives have been. We recognize their potential. We take the stress away from being different, help people make social connections, and give them the confidence of belonging. We ease their social stress, which gives them more energy towards becoming productive members of society.
We provide a social community.
